Responsible for assisting in maintaining communication/paperwork flow between University departments and the Human Resource office (contracts, recommendation for appointment forms, rate sheets (PAFs) and Electronic Personal Actions Form (EPAFs), hire letters, termination forms, and other documents) and assisting customers at the Employment Office front desk.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Supervises: Student assistants working on needed projects.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Works with the Employment Manager on supervisory issues.
Associate degree, or two to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret employment documents, audit reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, administration, clients, customers, and the general public. Strong written and oral communication skills.

Duties and responsibilities
Includes the following, as well as other responsibilities that may be assigned as needed:- Answering employment questions, via phone, email, and in person
- Communicate any employment changes and updates
- Processing employment paperwork for new hires, rehires and filing them electronically
- Applying EPAFs through the banner self-service/ administrative banner and PAFs process
- Investigating EPAF's and PAF's discrepancies
- Assist in processing new hire and rehire letters
- Assist with termination, evaluation, and audit processes as needed
- Utilize a computer, and proficient and speedy typing skills in all aspects of the job
Supervisory responsibilities
