Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Counselor Education Faculty - Clinical Coordinator at Andrews University, based in Berrien Springs, MI. The Clinical Coordinator will oversee and manage clinical training opportunities for students, which includes developing partnerships with mental health organizations, supervising student progress in practicum and internships, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Additional responsibilities include mentoring students, teaching counseling courses, and collaborating on department initiatives to achieve program goals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Counseling, Family Therapy, and Case Management
- Strong knowledge of Psychology and Mental Health theories and practices
- Relevant experience in clinical supervision and mentoring
- Advanced degree in Counselor Education, Psychology, or a related field, with preference for a doctoral degree
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and counseling settings
- Eligibility for appropriate licensure or certification in counseling or mental health
