The Crayon Box Children’s Learning Center is seeking an Andrews University student to join our team as a morning teacher for 7:30–9:30 a.m., Monday - Friday. Additional hours may be available based on availability. Assist with daily schedules, lessons, and age-appropriate activities
Support play-based learning aligned with The Crayon Box curriculum
Supervise children at all times to ensure safety
Help maintain a clean, organized classroom and shared spaces
Model positive behavior and use consistent, respectful guidance
Work collaboratively with teachers and the Director
Communicate professionally with children, families, and staff
Follow all center policies and licensing requirements
Assist with additional tasks as needed
Supervisory responsibilities
May serve as Staff in Charge when the Director is off-site, ensuring smooth operations and professional communication with families, staff, visitors, and licensing representatives. Independently manage the classroom by maintaining routines, safety, and engagement when support staff are unavailable. Provide guidance to teachers, student workers, and volunteers while modeling strong classroom management and supervision. Uphold The Crayon Box’s mission, policies, and all licensing requirements at all times.Qualifications
