What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Unit Manager-Phillips St. Women's Group Home position at Andrews Center?
High school diploma or GED. Two years experience in intellectual developmental disabilities or related human service field preferred.
Assists Unit Director in coordinating client treatment and training. This position includes supervision of direct contact staff. Provides active treatment and training to clients; provides relevant documentation to assist in client billing and funding sources; complies with program budgets and preventative maintenance; serves as liaison with all medical procedures and policies; and maintains good relationships with family contacts and referral sources. This position may require the employee to transport consumers in their personal vehicles, drive Andrews Center vehicles, or drive representing the Center and therefore must have current Texas driver's license and meet insurability criteria.
Supervision of direct contact staff. If applicable, awakens clients each morning and ensures they are dressed, fed, and ready for their daily activities. Gives instructions regarding desirable health and personal habits. Plans and leads recreational activities. Follows approved behavioral intervention guidelines as directed by Psychologist/IDT. Escorts clients to designated activities. Performs housekeeping duties. If applicable, prepares clients for bed.
