Field Operations Coordinator - Lawn & Snow
Full-Time | Salaried | Minneapolis, MN | In Person
Andrew's Lawn and Snow is looking for a dependable, organized Field Operations Coordinator to help keep our lawn care and snow removal operations running smoothly.
This is not a traditional desk-only office position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working on a computer, communicating with field operators, solving problems, and also helping with equipment and warehouse-related tasks when needed.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily lawn and snow removal operations
- Communicate with field operators throughout the day
- Monitor routes, job completion, attendance, and scheduling
- Help build and adjust routes as needed
- Enter and maintain information in customer database, property service routing software, and other systems
- Handle calls, texts, and day-to-day operational issues
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding field operators
- Help coordinate equipment distribution, returns, and organization
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs when capable
- Keep schedules, records, and operational information organized
- Help resolve problems involving staffing, equipment, routes, customers, or weather
What We're Looking For
We care more about practical ability, dependability, and problem-solving than a specific degree or background.
A strong candidate will have:
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities at once
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation
- Comfort working in both an office and field/warehouse environment
- Comfort around lawn equipment, snow equipment, trucks, and trailers
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Mechanical ability or minor repair experience is a strong plus
- Experience in landscaping, construction, logistics, dispatching, warehousing, maintenance, automotive, or similar work is helpful but not required
- Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred
Schedule and Snow Operations
This is a full-time salaried position, normally working approximately 8.5 hours per day, five days per week.
Snow events require significant flexibility. Depending on the timing and severity of a storm, employees may need to work nights, overnight hours, weekends, holidays, or exceptionally long shifts. Snow schedules can change quickly, and this position plays an important role in coordinating operators, routes, equipment, call-offs, and other issues throughout the event.
Applicants should be comfortable with a schedule that may occasionally change with little notice during snow season.
Who Will Do Well Here
This position is a good fit for someone who:
- Likes practical problem-solving
- Is comfortable with both computers and hands-on work
- Can stay organized when a lot is happening at once
- Learns new systems quickly
- Works well under pressure
- Can take initiative without constant direction
- Understands that lawn and snow operations do not always follow a predictable schedule
Interested applicants should call 612-715-3858 or 952-960-0865 to schedule a pre-screening interview.
