Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Piano and Music Teacher to inspire students of all ages in developing their musical talents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in music education, with the ability to teach piano and other musical disciplines while fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves designing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting students’ artistic growth through personalized instruction.
Duties
- Teach at-home piano lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.
- Assist students in developing practice skills and setting goals for their education.
- Build and maintain a regular schedule with families.
- Prepare students for upcoming music events both through our studio and in the community.
- Incorporate a variety of genres and styles of music to ensure a well rounded education.
- Assess student progress regularly and communicate feedback to students and parents or guardians as needed.
- Share assessments, goals, developments, and setbacks with the administrative staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance, Education, or Composition
- Proven proficiency with Piano Technique
- Ability to engage students of various ages and backgrounds effectively.
- Ability to understand student goals and adjust program/curriculum as needed to support those goals.
- 3 Years experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, particularly with young learners.
- Additional experience and expertise in other fine arts a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a love of music and the arts.
- A passion for teaching and nurturing artistic growth in both children and adults is required.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
