As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating product weight-reduction concepts and aerodynamic feature studies as part of the Base Station Antenna (BSA) product design. You will work closely with the Andrew Base Station Antenna design teams to develop lighter, higher-performance antenna solutions.

How You'll Help Us Connect The World
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating product weight-reduction concepts and aerodynamic feature studies as part of the Base Station Antenna (BSA) product design. You will work closely with the Andrew Base Station Antenna design teams to develop lighter, higher-performance antenna solutions.
This role will be based in Richardson, Texas.
You Will Make An Impact By
- Researching and evaluating various mounting kit designs used in the BSA industry
- Designing lightweight mounting kits for Andrew Base Station Antennas; creating 3D models and performing structural simulations
- Developing and assessing weight-reduction proposals, including modeling, weight comparison, and structural analysis
- Studying aerodynamic features applicable to Andrew products; modeling and optimizing designs using ANSYS CFD
- Be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or enrolled in Grad School at the time of the internship.
- Have a 3.0 GPA or higher in the U.S.
- Major in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
- Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD design and modeling software
- Have experience with mechanical structural simulation and ANSYS CFD analysis
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective teamwork, and excellent interpersonal communication abilities
