You Will Make An Impact By
- Working directly with Product Line Management and Operations teams to converge on product requirements.
- Defining high-level architecture and composing system requirements for 4G and 5G RAN platforms.
- Collaborating with customers and delivering technical documentation and presentations on system architecture and product specifications.
- Providing architectural expertise and guidance to engineering teams during system-level design.
- Partnering with the System Verification Team to devise test strategies and review integration and SVT tests.
- Reviewing and providing feedback on technical documents across the organization.
- Defining and overseeing platform and network security architecture to ensure robust, carrier-grade product security.
- Proposing innovative solutions to complex, system-wide challenges.
- Continuously evaluating and influencing internal design efforts to improve product development processes and ensure carrier-class quality.
- Managing and mentoring a small team of systems engineers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.
Required Qualifications For Consideration
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications or Computer Science; higher degrees preferred.
- 10 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on platform and networking architecture and development.
- Proven leadership in architecting and delivering complex systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, and microservices.
- Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle, requirements management, and system validation.
- Knowledge of cloud security, orchestration, and deployment strategies.
- Strong knowledge of platform and network security principles and best practices.
- Expertise in protocols across all layers of the network stack (Link, Internet, Transport, Application).
- Expertise in security-related technologies and protocols (e.g., HTTPS, IPSec, CMPv2, encryption techniques, authentication, integrity protection).
- Experience with network management protocols such as NETCONF, SNMP, and TR-069.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing and debugging network-related issues using industry-standard tools.
- Experience defining system and feature requirements for communication products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing or mentoring technical teams.
