Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Bi-lingual Safety Manager to lead and enforce safety standards across our field operations. This role is responsible for overseeing our field team, including dump truck drivers and skid steer operators, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
The Safety Manager will develop, implement, and monitor safety programs while actively engaging with crews in the field. This position plays a critical role in protecting our employees, maintaining compliance, and upholding Andrade’s reputation for professionalism and operational excellence.
You will work closely with operations leadership and field personnel to identify risks, conduct training, enforce safety protocols, and foster a culture where safety is a top priority on every job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular job site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Oversee and support field teams including drivers and equipment operators, ensuring safe work practices are followed
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ongoing training programs for field personnel
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all employees are properly trained and certified to operate equipment safely
- Monitor and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with operations and management to improve safety processes and reduce risk exposure
- Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry safety standards
- Assist with DOT compliance as it relates to drivers and fleet safety
- Promote a culture of accountability, awareness, and continuous improvement in safety practices
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in safety management, preferably in construction, trucking, or field service operations
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
- Experience managing or supervising field teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and coach employees at all levels
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both in the field and in an office setting
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
- Spanish and English speaking
Preferred:
- OSHA 30 Certification (or higher)
- Experience with DOT compliance and fleet safety programs
- Background in debris removal, construction cleanup, or similar industries
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required
- Experience developing safety programs from the ground up
