Job Description
Experience Required: 2–5 years in produce, grocery retail, or department management
Experience Desired: Previous produce department leadership, inventory management, merchandising, and team supervision
Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
Scheduling Availability: Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
Lifting Requirement: Up to 60 pounds
Age Requirement: 18 or older
Job Responsibilities
● Lead the daily operations of the Produce Department to ensure exceptional product quality, freshness, and presentation.
● Train, coach, schedule, and motivate Produce Department team members while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
● Maintain attractive, fully stocked produce displays that encourage sales and provide an outstanding shopping experience.
● Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage product rotation to minimize shrink and maximize freshness.
● Ensure all products are properly received, stored, rotated, and displayed according to company standards.
● Monitor department sales, labor, and profitability while identifying opportunities to improve performance.
● Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and providing product recommendations.
● Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
● Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, coolers, prep areas, and sales floors.
● Work collaboratively with store leadership and other department managers to support overall store operations.
● Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining a positive shopping experience.
● Contribute to a respectful, team-oriented workplace that values customers, coworkers, and the community.
