Job Summary
At Andover Sparkle Market, our Meat Room Clerks play an important role in ensuring our customers receive the freshest, highest-quality products—prepared and presented just the way they want them. In this role, you’ll support our Meat Manager, provide outstanding customer service, and help build guest loyalty by maintaining top-notch products and service.
As a member of our Meat Department, your primary responsibility will be learning to cut, package, clean work stations and prepare meats while creating a shopping experience that exceeds customer expectations. You’ll help foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere, working as part of a team to deliver excellence every day.

Job Description
- Experience Required: 0 – 5 years
- Experience Desired: Prior experience in meat cutting or a related field
- Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
- Scheduling Availability: week and weekend availability required
- Lifting Requirement: Up to 90 pounds
- Age Requirement: 18 or older
Job Responsibilities
- Learn to cut and prepare meat products for customers, ensuring proper size, weight, and quality.
- Learn to prepare ground meats and package items for sale.
- Assist with special orders, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Help maintain cooler and freezer organization by unloading deliveries and stocking products.
- Learn and follow all product code dating and rotation procedures.
- Ensure meat cases are well-stocked, rotated, and attractively displayed.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, taking orders, and offering product suggestions.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and equipment handling guidelines.
- Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and safe at all times.
- Demonstrate teamwork, dependability, and a willingness to learn.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful workplace that values customers, coworkers, and the community.
