What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Cashier position at Andover Public Schools?
Purpose: Cashier will receive and record all student meal account transactions. Operates terminal during breakfast and lunch and accurately identifies reimbursable meals.

- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have working knowledge of basic math applications and computation skills.
- Must comply with state health and sanitation guidelines related to school food service programs.
- Previous relevant experience preferred.
Performance Responsibilities
- Accurately identify reimbursable meals
- Accurately charge meals to student accounts.
- Credit deposits to accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of meals served and deposits made.
- Perform Cook job description duties if assistance is needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
- Occasionally requires the ability to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials.
- Occasionally requires the ability to stoop, bend and/or reach.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors year-round.
- Must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments.
- Requires regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job.
