Field Project Manager – Construction

Location: Dorchester, South Carolina Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Compensation: $48 – $52 per hour (based on experience)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Project Manager to oversee construction projects of varying size and complexity. This position is best suited for a detail-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates effectively, and has a proven track record in construction project management. The role requires balancing field operations with stakeholder engagement to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple construction projects from initial planning through final delivery, ensuring all objectives are met.
• Facilitate project planning sessions to define scope, goals, and timelines with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project schedules, identify milestones, and monitor progress against established goals.
• Manage project budgets, conduct research and analysis, and provide input for financial planning and forecasting.
• Identify potential risks, apply problem-solving strategies, and collaborate with teams to develop solutions.
• Provide clear communication of project status, updates, and challenges to stakeholders and project sponsors.
• Document lessons learned, share insights across teams, and apply best practices to improve future projects.
• Assign resources appropriately and coach team members through all project phases, offering feedback and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of proven experience in construction project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
