Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled individual to join our team as a Technical Service and Parts Support specialist. This role involves providing comprehensive support for automotive and manufacturing parts, managing supply chain processes, and ensuring optimal inventory control. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, warehouse management, and ERP systems, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and efficient parts management.
Duties
- Assist customers and internal teams with technical support related to automotive diagnostics, equipment repair, and OEM parts.
- Manage inventory levels through inventory management systems, including order entry, tracking, and replenishment.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing parts from suppliers, negotiating pricing, and managing vendor relationships.
- Oversee warehouse operations such as shipping & receiving, inventory control, and equipment repair.
- Utilize CMMS and ERP systems to streamline order management, demand planning, and procurement processes.
- Support supply chain management by coordinating logistics, sourcing materials, and managing supplier relationships.
- Maintain accurate data entry for inventory records, purchase orders, and service requests.
- Provide customer service support by addressing inquiries related to parts availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Assist with auto body repair processes and dealership service requirements as needed.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring timely availability of parts and supplies necessary for production.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse management, or automotive service environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics and equipment repair.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and order management systems.
- Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement management, sourcing strategies, demand planning, and logistics.
- Familiarity with OEM parts sourcing, auto body repair processes, HVAC systems, and shipping & receiving procedures is a plus.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
