Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, and secure vehicles properly using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including logs of loads, destinations, and vehicle conditions
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while operating heavy machinery and driving commercial vehicles
- Assist with basic automotive repairs or mechanical troubleshooting when necessary to facilitate vehicle recovery
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; class C drivers license is necessary
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or similar heavy-duty vehicles
- Ability to handle manual transmissions confidently and operate forklifts when needed
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Physical ability to load/unload vehicles manually or with equipment; comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
