We’re looking for a motivated, dependable Maintenance Technician who enjoys variety and takes pride in solving problems. No two days are the same, and the right candidate will be comfortable working independently while representing our company professionally.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete residential maintenance and repair work.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, and fixture repairs.
- Install and replace faucets, toilets, ceiling fans, light fixtures, locks, doors, trim, and hardware.
- Complete property turnovers and prepare vacant homes for occupancy.
- Perform lawn care, landscaping, seasonal cleanups, and exterior maintenance as needed.
- Complete lock changes, lockbox installations, and property inspections.
- Assist with junk removal, cleanouts, debris removal, and hauling.
- Diagnose maintenance issues and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Safely operate company trucks, trailers, mowers, and power equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, materials used, and photographs when required.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, property owners, vendors, and office staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and properly care for company equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous experience in residential maintenance, construction, handyman services, or property management.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, and painting.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently.
- Experience operating lawn equipment and power tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Reliable transportation with valid insurance.
Preferred (Not Required)
- HVAC experience
- Appliance repair experience
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Flooring installation experience
- Property preservation or REO maintenance experience
