We are seeking a well verse Industrial maintenance technician with hands on practical experience maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and installing equipment to help support a production plant whose primary function is machining, fabricating, and assembling components with heavy equipment and machine tools.

Key Responsibilities
- Repairs of industrial equipment and other supporting plant assets such as machine tools, power tools, hand tools, forklifts, grinders, presses, cranes, hardware, and other supporting building and production assets
- Support of preventive maintenance, safety and building equipment including performing documented preventative maintenance and routine safety checks
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment involving proper containment and disposal of plant scrap & waste, keeping isle ways clearly defined and clear of obstacles, keeping all PPE and safety equipment in good working order and helping ensure the overall integrity of the plant and its equipment.
- Inspect the quality of third-party repairs
- Recommend improvements to help optimize plant performance with regards to maintaining the equipment and assets
- Ability to multitask, adjust work schedule, and help manage priorities to support down equipment or emergency repairs as required
- Perform work with limited supervision while maintaining a high level of standards and performance
- Collaborate with production to help ensure safety, productivity and efficiency
- Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment or unsafe conditions to management
Prior Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a plant maintenance position with a heavy emphasis on supporting the preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment that's primary function is machining, fabrication and assembly or relevant experience working as a service tech to support like assets such as machine tools
- High mechanical aptitude including the ability to read and interpret equipment diagrams, trouble-shoot and diagnose, based on conditions that may not be objective or fully defined.
- Must have hands on practical experience, repairing equipment preferably machine tools
- Ideal candidate will have some flexibility to support the plant with flexible work hours evenings, weekends (when required to support emergency breakdowns or preventive maintenance)
- Must possess an optimistic mindset including the ability to face adversity head-on when unplanned equipment breaks down
- Must have passion for being a problem solver, while also being capable of taking directions, suggestions, constructive feedback and being able to effectively collaborate with other stakeholders
- Prior experience working in a plant setting with a multitude of departments, where teamwork, communication, and execution are integral to the success of the operation
- Proven experience delivering results with minimal supervision
- The ability to report maintenance tasks performed accurately and legibly in a timely manner
- Prior experience helping establish preventative maintenance for equipment
