- Use go, no go, gages to sort material for straightness
- Utilize hydraulic press to straighten material to intended specification
- Check products utilizing product specific gauges
- Operate fully automated & semi-automated grinding machines to grind products to intended specification
- Etch product with laser engraver
- Box finish product
- Transact work performed within ERP system utilizing a computer or pc-based tablet
- Performs routine maintenance and good housekeeping on equipment and work area
- Perform duties according to health and safety requirements in accordance with Anderson International policy and procedures
- Conforms to all Anderson International plant policies and procedures
- Populate documentation that coincides with job responsibilities such as but not limited to inspection, maintenance, inventory, health and safety
- Abides by all training, policies, and procedures set forth by Anderson International
- Collaboration with peers, and management to help ensure positive outcomes and help maintain a safe and respectful work environment
- This is an entry level position prior manufacturing experience is not a requirement for this position. Duties performed will be trained upon hire. Qualified candidates will be required to pass a basic mechanical aptitude test, they must also prove their abilities to read, write, and articulate information both verbal and written
- Ability to read and write comprehend and articulate information both verbal and written
- Perform simple math calculations, including performing measurements, reading manufacturing paperwork such as drawings, diagrams, shop documents and recording information as necessary on forms provided.
- Attention to detail with regards to aesthetics, how things look and the quality of such
- Must be able to work with equipment automated & semi-automated, manual, and powered hand tools.
- Prior experience in a production setting doing highly repetitive work
- Prior experience operating mechanical equipment is a benefit but not a requirement
- Must have basic computer literacy
- The ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written
- Must enjoy highly repetitive tasks where the daily duties and routine rarely change
- Strong ability to work with a team and adapt to adversity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
