We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Accountant with deep Oracle NetSuite expertise to join our accounting function. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will play a central role in driving monthly close processes, maintaining core financial integrity, optimizing accounting workflows within NetSuite, and providing critical financial insights to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger & Month-End Close: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation, complex balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- ERP Optimization: Serve as a finance-side subject matter expert for NetSuite, identifying opportunities to automate routines, streamline system workflows, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate, timely monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in accordance with US GAAP.
- Reconciliations & Audits: Manage key account reconciliations, multi-entity consolidations, and support annual external audit requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with FP&A and operational teams to refine revenue recognition, inventory accounting, or cost tracking within NetSuite.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
- Experience: 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience (Senior Accountant experience required).
- ERP Mastery: Direct, hands-on experience using NetSuite is required. Experience with NetSuite implementation, system administration, or module optimization is a major plus.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of US GAAP, high proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, index/match or XLOOKUP).
- Location: Must reside in or be willing to commute to the San Antonio, TX area for scheduled onsite days.
