We are partnering with a manufacturing company based in Charlotte, NC, committed to operational excellence, innovation, and delivering high-quality products to customers. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the finance team and play a key role in supporting the company's financial reporting and month-end close processes.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and driving continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in a manufacturing environment and hands-on expertise with NetSuite ERP, particularly related to financial reporting and general ledger management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses.
- Generate, analyze, and distribute financial reports within NetSuite.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing-related financial transactions.
- Partner with operations and plant leadership to provide financial insights and reporting.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
- Assist with external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within NetSuite and the accounting function.
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as the company continues to grow.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong financial reporting experience utilizing NetSuite ERP.
- Advanced understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced growth environment.
Preferred
- Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, or standard costing.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, enhancements, or system optimization projects.
- Public accounting background is a plus.
