About the Role:
Are you passionate about Powersports and love helping customers customize their rides? Anderson Powersports in Reno, NV is seeking a Parts Advisor to assist customers in selecting, modifying, and accessorizing their off-road vehicles, motorcycles, and snowmobiles. This role requires great customer service skills, an interest in Powersports, and the ability to build personalized accessory packages to enhance customers' experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting the right parts and accessories for their Powersports vehicles.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of Powersports parts, compatibility, and functionality.
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening to clients' needs and recommending solutions.
- Utilize merchandising skills to present and organize parts for easy customer access.
- Upsell and cross-sell accessories that complement customers’ purchases.
- Offer basic technical assistance or direct customers to additional resources.
- Keep inventory organized, manage orders, and maintain a tidy workspace.
- Think creatively to suggest unique customization options.
- Troubleshoot issues and find innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
- Clearly communicate product features and benefits to customers.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and product details.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Computer proficiency for researching parts and processing orders.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Primarily operates in the parts department, assisting customers at the counter.
- May involve picking out parts or organizing inventory.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color recognition, and depth perception.
- Evenings and weekends may be required based on service department hours.
- Some travel may be required to transport parts between dealership locations.
