Shipping Assistant
General Purpose of Job:
Andersen Sterilizers is a medical device manufacturing compay located off Highway 54, between Burlington and Chapel Hill. We are recruiting for a Shipping Assistant. The Shipping Assistant is responsible for performing routine shipping duties. The Shipping Assistant needs to manage and coordinate daily activities of work engaged in processing and shipping of materials to our customers. The hourly pay rate will be commensurate with education and experience.
Reports to: Materials Manager - Distribution
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
· Assist Materials Manager with shipment of all finished products to customers.
· Accept transfers of finished goods from production departments.
· Maintain shipping warehouse inventory.
· Prepare all carrier documentation.
· Alert Materials Manager of shipping problems and deficiencies.
· Assist with distribution and documentation of customer returns.
· Assist with processing and distribution of mail and packages.
· Inspect materials handling and loading operations to ensure compliance.
· Complete cycle count and physical inventory as needed.
· Make sure work area is clean and neat at the end of each day.
· Additional duties may be assigned as required for the needs of the business.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent

Job: Full Time, Hourly
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
