Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on payroll administration experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing payroll across multiple platforms, including ADP, Paycom, and TriNet for example, as well as experience integrating payroll data with operational and financial systems. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a solid understanding of wage and hour compliance, and the ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer end-to-end payroll processing on a weekly basis for hourly, salaried, and contract employees.
• Accurately input, audit, and reconcile payroll data across multiple platforms, including ADP, Paycom, and TriNet.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Process new hires, terminations, transfers, wage adjustments, garnishments, and other payroll changes.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, reports, and employee files.
• Collaborate with Branch administrations, HR and management to resolve payroll-related discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Integrate payroll data with Service Titan (for job recording) and Foundations Accounting Software to support job costing and financial reporting.
• Generate payroll-related reports for finance, audits, and management review.
• Stay updated on evolving payroll laws, regulations, and technology best practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Associate’s degree with emphasis on business or bookkeeping preferred.
• 2 years’ experience with computerized payroll processing.
• 5 years of payroll processing experience in a mid- to large-sized company.
• Demonstrated expertise with multiple payroll platforms (ADP, Paycom, TriNet).
• Experience working with Service Titan (job tracking/job costing) and Foundations Accounting Software.
• Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, multi-state payroll, and payroll tax regulations.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across departments.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive data with discretion.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in construction, plumbing, or field service industries.
• Exposure to union payroll processing (if applicable).
• Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll-related compliance filings.

• Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug test prior to employment.
