The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the accounting function and handle a wide variety of corporate accounting responsibilities, including:
- Manage and support the month-end and year-end close process
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and account reconciliations
- Perform financial analysis and investigate variances and trends
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other management reporting
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure proper accounting treatment
- Support audits and provide documentation and analysis as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects as skills and experience develop
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of corporate accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated and eager to learn and take on increasing responsibility
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
