Position Overview
The Safety Manager leads the implementation and enforcement of the company’s safety and health programs by partnering with field and project management teams, conducting site inspections, promoting safe work practices, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role promotes a strong safety culture and serves as a trusted representative of AnderCorp by delivering exceptional service to clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all project sites.
- Partner with field and project management teams to implement and maintain company safety and health programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and applicable safety standards.
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and verify safe work practices.
- Lead safety orientations for new employees and ensure all required safety training is completed.
- Conduct safety meetings and ongoing training to promote awareness and accountability.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, inspection reports, training records, and regulatory compliance records.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with project-specific safety requirements and company expectations.
- Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry best practices and communicate updates to project teams.
- Serve as a safety resource and mentor for employees, fostering accountability and proactive hazard recognition.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
Experience
- 5 years construction experience
