The Blaster B is responsible for preparing metal parts and components by using abrasive blasting equipment to remove coatings, rust, scale, and contaminants to meet quality and surface-finish standards used in aerospace manufacturing.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate blast equipment (blast cabinets, blast rooms, media blasters) safely and efficiently to prepare parts for machining, painting, or final assembly.Load/position parts and set required machine parameters based on work instructions and job specifications.Monitor blasting media (e.g., sand, glass beads, shot) and equipment pressures; refill or change media when needed.Inspect parts for surface finish quality and conformity to specifications.Follow safety protocols including mandatory PPE (respirators, blast hoods, gloves, hearing protection) and company safety procedures.Maintain work area — keep blasting area clean, dispose of waste media according to guidelines, and help with general housekeeping.Document work — complete production records and report any defects or equipment issues.Support team efforts on shift, including assisting maintenance or quality checks as needed.Company DescriptionWith over 20 years of experience AnDek Staffing has created and maintained relationships by understanding our partners needs and continuously seeking ways to improve our services.
