Job description
Fairbanks Sleep Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our growing clinical team. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered specialty care with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, education, and long-term therapy success.
This role is ideal for a therapist experienced in PAP therapy, DME workflows, and patient education. This is NOT a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up respiratory and PAP therapy equipment
- Educate patients on proper equipment use and care
- Conduct RT appointments (clinic & telehealth) to support PAP therapy acclimation
- Perform pressure adjustments and mask fitting
- Complete Mask-Fit appointments, Machine Checks, and PAP setups
- Verify eligibility and authorizations for supplies
- Complete charting and documentation for reimbursement
- Perform compliance monitoring and patient follow-up
- Schedule DME appointments and process resupply orders
- Maintain DME inventory and order equipment/supplies
- Serve as a PAP therapy resource for the care team
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), or RPSGT
- 2 years of DME experience (oxygen & PAP therapy preferred)
- Knowledge of compliance standards, coding & billing requirements
- Strong communication & patient education skills
- Excellent organization & time management
