Kachemak Medical Group is seeking a Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our growing outpatient
primary care practice in Homer, Alaska. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys
practicing full-spectrum family medicine in a supportive, team-oriented clinic environment.
Our practice provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, with the exception of
prenatal care. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate healthcare to the Homer
community and the greater Kenai Peninsula.

Position Highlights
• Outpatient primary care practice
• Treat both adult and pediatric patients
• Flexible scheduling (4 or 5 day work week)
• No call requirements

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiac disease, and chronic lung conditions
• Perform minor procedures including suturing and splinting/casting when appropriate
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
• Perform preventive health exams and annual physicals
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices
• Coordinate referrals to specialists when appropriate
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Qualifications
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• Eligible for Alaska medical licensure prior to start date
• Current DEA registration
• BLS certification required
• Experience in outpatient primary care preferred
Schedule
• Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Option for five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
• No call
