Volunteer Coordinator

Anchor Ridge is a Christian faith-based, 501(C)3 non-profit organization. The mission of Anchor Ridge is to bring hope to Appalachian Mountain families by providing basic needs such as food, clothing, hygiene items and household goods, all while sharing the Love and Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Volunteer Coordinator's schedule will be 30-40 hours per week, which will include Monday and Thursday evenings, as well as some weekend travel.

TRAVEL IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

Responsibilities:

* Travel to all events and oversee volunteer groups

· Recruit volunteers through various techniques

· Professionally represent Anchor Ridge and be the point-of-contact for volunteers

· Present a professional image, both in conduct and in appearance

· Oversee Volunteer Teams

· Coordinate and instruct volunteer groups in tasks and projects

· Communicate frequently with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed

· Ensure the Volunteer / Processing Center is set-up and ready to welcome volunteer groups

· Complete new volunteer registration & orientation

· Maintain hourly volunteer logs

· Maintain a safe and efficient experience for volunteers

· Meet deadlines regarding provision processing

· Identify and tactfully correct any issues arising during the volunteer session

· Ensure the purpose of the organization and its actions is clearly communicated with volunteers

Other Physical Requirements:

· Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time

· Able to push / pull carts and pallets of provisional items

· Able to lift, stack, and move boxes of provisional items

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

• Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
• Team management: 1 year (Preferred)

• North Wilkesboro, NC 28659: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Required)
