We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to support our team in developing impactful educational materials. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with subject matter experts, refine instructional content, and help shape the learning experience for professionals across various sectors.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- 2-3 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or related fields
- Proficiency with Articulate Storyline, Rise, and other creative software
- Strong skills in editing instructional content from guides and existing materials
- Experience creating courses, quick reference guides, and user documentation
- Ability to work effectively with SMEs and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with video editing and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop) is a plus
- Familiarity with virtual conferencing platforms (Webex, Teams, Zoom)
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving priorities
- Capacity to handle sensitive information and work effectively within a team environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Video editing expertise
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud tools like InDesign and Photoshop
- Past experience working within the energy or utility sector
- Knowledge of industry-specific workflows or tools
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, or a related field
- 2-3 years of hands-on instructional design or content development experience
- Experience supporting external customers and working in fast-paced environments
