Job description
Anchor Innovation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Specialist to lead warehouse operations, material handling, and accountability functions in support of NSWC PCD’s Property Accountability Services mission. This position oversees storage, issue, re-warehousing, COSIS, and physical inventory processes for Navy materials and equipment.
The ideal candidate possesses strong warehouse management skills, deep knowledge of Navy storage policies, and a proven ability to maintain audit-ready documentation and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations including storage, issue, material movement, and control.
- Conduct re-warehousing, shelf-life checks, COSIS actions, and stock rotation.
- Maintain accurate location records and ensure proper segregation of NSNs, condition codes, and hazardous materials.
- Oversee MHE operations, lifting, staging, packaging, and containerization.
- Ensure proper storage configuration, rack setup, palletizing, and layout per NAVSUP standards.
- Maintain audit-ready inventory accountability through ERP transactions and physical verification.
- Train and mentor Warehouse Clerks and Material Handling Specialists.
- Manage discrepancy notifications, ensure documentation accuracy, and support reporting.
- Coordinate with government customers and ensure timely IPG deliveries and material responses.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4–6 years of Navy or DoD warehouse experience.
- Strong understanding of Navy storage standards, COSIS, and equipment handling.
- Proficient in Navy ERP warehouse transactions and location management.
- Certified forklift/MHE operator (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and conduct repetitive material handling tasks.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to work on a Navy site.
Desired Experience:
- Experience leading a warehouse team or supervising junior personnel.
- Familiarity with NAVSUP P-529, P-723, and Navy Warehouse Process Guide.
- Strong documentation and QA experience.
