Quality Manager – Metal Fabrication

Location: LaVergne, TN
Reports To: Director of Continuous Improvement

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and manage quality systems in a metal fabrication manufacturing environment. This role ensures products meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements while driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 or equivalent)
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections
• Manage nonconforming material, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Conduct root cause analysis using 5 Whys, Fishbone, and other tools
• Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits
• Serve as the primary quality contact for customers
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects, scrap, and rework
• Partner with Engineering, Production, and Purchasing to resolve quality issues
• Track and report quality KPIs to leadership
• Manage calibration and control of inspection equipment
• Train and develop quality team members

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred)
• 5 years of quality experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of welding, machining, forming, and fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Experience with ISO 9001 and audit processes
• Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement tools
• Proven leadership and problem-solving skills

Preferred Certifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
