What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jamb Cell Operator-2nd shift position at Anchor Fabrication?
The operator is responsible for performing all functions of sawing, bending, welding and milling metal pieces while ensuring safety, quality and productivity. The operator is responsible for setting up the job which includes reviewing the job packet, setting angles and stops, exchanging dies and adjusting tension in order to operate the saw, bending, welding and mill machines followed by inspecting for conformance to specification. The operator must troubleshoot and make adjustments when necessary or seeks consultation from supervisor and/or quality control.
Shifts 2:30pm-11pm Monday- Friday
- Mechanically adept
- Attention to detail
- Able to prioritize and work under schedule demands
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate
- Able to read all precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings, sheet metal drawings, customer drawings, diagrams, weld symbols and other instructional materials proficiently
- Positive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment to reach a common goal
- Knowledge of shop practices and operations
- Understand Metal hardness factors (First in First out Material rotation)
- Must be flexible to work in other areas
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred along with; prior manufacturing experience
- Working in a metal forming environment
