Anchor Behavioral Solutions is seeking a dynamic, analytical, and highly motivated Operations Management Trainee for an intensive, hands-on development program. This is a unique opportunity to be personally mentored by the Executive Director for a period of up to 18 months, gaining comprehensive exposure to all facets of our behavioral health operations.
The trainee will learn to manage day-to-day operations, lead program teams, analyze financial performance, and execute strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proven problem-solver with a strong background in behavioral health who is eager to grow into a senior leadership role. The scope will evolve based on organizational needs and demonstrated performance
Upon successful completion of the training program, this role will transition into a full-time Operations Management position within the organization. Please note that successful completion of the training program is a requirement for transition into a full-time position. Candidates who do not complete the program successfully will not be eligible for full-time employment.
Career Progression:
This role is designed to build leadership capacity across multiple operational levels. Depending on individual performance, organizational needs, and demonstrated competencies, successful completion of the program may lead to advancement into roles such as Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or Site Operations Leadership within Anchor Behavioral Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
? Work directly with the Executive Director to learn and support daily operational management, strategic planning, and service delivery oversight.
? Participate in the analytical review and evaluation of financial reports, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, ensure fiscal responsibility, and recommend improvements.
? Apply strong logic and reasoning to identify, analyze, and solve complex operational challenges in real-time.
? Develop the leadership and operational capacity to fill in for Program Supervisors or Managers for extended periods as needed by the organization, ensuring continuity of service and team leadership.
? Assist in monitoring and ensuring operational compliance with all healthcare regulations, funding source requirements (e.g., DDD), and internal policies.
? Be available to respond to on-site emergencies across multiple locations, including during nights, weekends, and weather-related events.
? Support the implementation of new projects, program expansions, and strategic initiatives.
? Learn all aspects of managing a behavioral health setting, from client intake and staff scheduling to facility management and quality assurance.
Qualifications and Requirements
? Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
? A degree in Business Administration, Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is a significant plus.
? Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of high-quality experience in a behavioral health setting is required.
? Problem-Solving: Must be able to demonstrate a strong history of using logic and reasoning to manage complex situations and solve problems effectively.
? Analytical Skills: Demonstrable comfort with the analytical review and evaluation of financial reports. Must be comfortable with general business math.
? Leadership Potential: A motivated self-starter with the confidence and eagerness to learn and step into a leadership role, possessing a minimum of one (1) year of prior supervisory or leadership experience.
? Adaptability: Must be highly organized, able to manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
? Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Training: completion of required training and certifications during and after onboarding.
Schedule and Working Conditions
? This position requires a highly flexible schedule.
? Must have the ability to be on-site as early as 7:00 AM and stay as late as 9:00 PM, as operational needs dictate. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with flexibility for extended hours as needed for operational support.
? Weekend availability is required as needed.
? Must be available and able to travel to respond to emergencies at multiple sites, especially during weather-related emergencies.
Career Path
This trainee role is intended to last up to 18 months. Based on performance and successful completion of the training objectives, the candidate will be promoted to a full-time, permanent role in Operations Management.
Salary/Compensation
Starting Salary: $50,000.00
After successful completion of 6 months Increase of 10,000.00
After successful completion of 12 months Second increase of 10,000.00
After successful completion of 18 months 3rd increase of 10,000 if role is to be extended; could also apply for an established or created role at established or negotiated salary. Eligibility for milestone increases is based on successful completion of each development phase as determined by the Executive Director.
