Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Chemotherapy/Infusion treatments to join our team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care while traveling to various healthcare facilities across the country.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer chemotherapy and infusion treatments to patients in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust medications and dosages as needed
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatments, side effects, and self-care strategies
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to plan and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure equipment is properly functioning
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards to ensure patient and staff well-being
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- BLS certification
- Certification in Chemotherapy/Infusion therapy preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in chemotherapy/infusion nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to travel and work in various healthcare settings
