Job Description

Job Title: Telemetry Med/Surg RN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Telemetry Med/Surg RN to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care by monitoring and interpreting patient data from telemetry equipment, as well as assisting in the treatment and management of various medical conditions on a medical/surgical unit.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Monitor vital signs and telemetry readings, recognizing and reporting any abnormalities to the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure patient safety and infection control

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry and medical/surgical nursing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and healthcare technology
