Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will assist surgical teams during surgeries by preparing and maintaining operating rooms, organizing surgical equipment, and ensuring a sterile environment. You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest level of care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up surgical equipment and instruments.
2. Assist in positioning and draping patients for surgery.
3. Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
4. Monitor and maintain a sterile field during surgeries.
5. Assist with the application of dressings and sutures after surgery.
6. Assist with transporting patients to and from the operating room.
7. Clean and sterilize surgical equipment and instruments.
8. Maintain inventory of surgical supplies.
9. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent training.
2. Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
