Job Title: Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) / Behavioral Health Technician
Job Summary
The SUDP / Behavioral Health Technician provides support and care to individuals dealing with substance use disorders and mental health conditions. This role focuses on counseling support, monitoring patient behavior, assisting in treatment programs, and promoting recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the assessment and treatment of patients with substance use and behavioral health disorders
Support implementation of treatment and recovery plans
Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns
Provide emotional support and crisis intervention when needed
Facilitate group sessions and therapeutic activities (under supervision)
Educate patients on coping strategies and recovery techniques
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients
Collaborate with counselors, therapists, and healthcare teams
Required Qualifications
Certification as Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) or equivalent (preferred)
High School Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
CPR/BLS Certification (preferred)
Experience Required
1–3 years of experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment (preferred)
