Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy team. As an Endoscopy Nurse, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. Your primary role will be to assist in the preparation, monitoring, and recovery of patients before, during, and after these procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including explaining the procedure and ensuring informed consent
- Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout the procedure
- Assist physicians with endoscopic equipment and techniques
- Administer medications and sedation as needed
- Provide post-procedure care and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- BSN preferred
- CPR certification
- Previous experience in endoscopy or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
