Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) CVOR is responsible for providing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures in the operating room. They assist surgeons during surgeries, monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, and ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly sterilized and ready for use.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist surgeons during cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after surgeries
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician
- Prepare the operating room and ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly sterilized
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular operating room
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
