Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Nurse is responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients in critical condition. They must be able to think quickly, remain calm under pressure, and be skilled at performing life-saving interventions. The ER Nurse works closely with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and the patient's family to ensure the best possible outcome.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and triaging patients upon arrival
2. Administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
3. Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to any changes in condition
4. Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
5. Assisting with emergency procedures such as intubation and CPR
6. Providing emotional support to patients and their families
7. Documenting all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
8. Ensuring compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) license
2. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
7. Knowledge of emergency protocols and procedures
8. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
9. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
10. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
