Level 1 PC Technician (Entry-Level IT Support)

Location: Greenville, South Carolina

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Entry-Level (0–2 years)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Level 1 PC Technician to provide basic technical support for computer systems, hardware, and software. This role is ideal for someone starting their IT career who has strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues (Windows/macOS environments)
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications
  • Setting up new user accounts, email, and workstations
  • Respond to help desk tickets and document resolutions
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, connectivity issues)
  • Assist with system updates, patches, and antivirus management
  • Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 support when necessary

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s Degree in IT preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems like Microsoft Windows and/or macOS
  • Familiarity with computer hardware components
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think logically
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel to client sites with some over night stays required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Work Hours – 11:00 AM – 8:00PM (Hours may be adjusted as needed)

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A certification (or working toward it)
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Autotask)
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Internship or prior help desk experience
