Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean and welcoming dining space.
- Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist servers with food running, refilling beverages, and attending to guest needs during their meal.
- Maintain cleanliness in all service areas, including sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, and properly disposing of trash.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, boxes, or supplies using safe lifting practices.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling or preparation tasks as needed to ensure smooth service flow.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate timely service and address guest requests promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including bussing, serving, and food running.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
