As our Personal Injury Paralegal, you'll play a key role in helping our attorneys deliver outstanding representation to injured clients throughout California. Your expertise will help streamline legal processes, manage case files, and facilitate effective communication between clients, attorneys, and external parties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful litigation while honing your legal support skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of personal injury litigation, including case intake, investigation, and settlement negotiations
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal databases to support case development
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence with clients and opposing counsel
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance
- Coordinate client interviews, gather medical records, police reports, and other pertinent evidence to build strong cases
- Monitor deadlines and procedural law requirements to ensure timely filings and adherence to court rules
- Support litigation activities including document review, data entry, filing, and organizing evidence for trial preparation
- Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining professionalism in all client interactions
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for drafting reports, summaries, and correspondence efficiently
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of California personal injury experience.
- Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and personal injury litigation.
- Ability to independently manage a busy caseload.
- Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software (CASEpeer experience is a plus).
