What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op position at Analogic?
Project Support: Lead effort to review and update tolerancing on released assembly drawings using SolidWorks. Interacting w/ Quality, Design and Production teams to ensure changes are fully vetted and compliant to customer requirements.
Process Improvement: Provide support to manufacturing technicians in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and support decision-making processes using Minitab and/or MS Excel.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as R&D, Quality, and Production, to support overall manufacturing goals.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
Education, Work Experience, Skills And Competencies Requirements
Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Certification), and statistical analysis tools.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous co-op or internship experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
(Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, i.e., H1B)
