What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Events position at Analog Events?
About Analog Events
Analog Events is a certified B Corporation specializing in crafting memorable, high-impact experiences for top-tier brands while prioritizing sustainability. Our team produces experiential events that leave a lasting impression while delivering measurable social and environmental impact. Clients include Netflix, iHeartRadio, Bravo, Glow Recipe, Olaplex, Peacock, HBO Max, Interscope Records, and more.
We are a small, senior team. Everyone here owns their work end-to-end and that is by design.
The Role
This is a senior leadership role and the day-to-day owner of Analog's event delivery engine. As Head of Events, you will oversee a team of producers, account directors, coordinators, and freelance and contract staff, setting the standard for how Analog works and ensuring the team delivers at the highest level across every engagement.
You will work directly alongside the CEO on key client relationships, new business, agency standards, team development, and the continued growth of Analog, including the thoughtful deployment of Agent Analog, our proprietary AI-powered SMS event concierge and measurement platform.
We are looking for someone who has done this before at a high level, thrives in a lean environment, and brings the judgment, calm, and taste that make clients feel safe handing over their most important moments.
What You'll Own
Client Partnership & Strategy
- Serve as a senior client partner and trusted escalation point across key accounts, owning relationships from initial brief through post-event reporting
- Deeply understand each client's brand, audience, and objectives, and translate that understanding into event strategy and experience design
- Lead or co-lead new business pitches alongside the CEO, including prospect research, proposal development, and presentation
- Maintain and deepen key client and vendor relationships, and coach the team in doing the same across entertainment, B2B, consumer, and corporate verticals
- Champion Analog's sustainability commitments and B Corp values across every engagement
Creative Translation & Production Strategy
- Partner closely with the Creative Director to ensure every event delivers on the creative brief, serving as the production conscience that brings the vision to life in the room
- Oversee environment design, guest journey, and moment-making across event formats: brand activations, product launches, premieres, summits, conferences, and corporate events
- Bring a marketer's eye to production decisions, understanding that every logistical choice is also a brand choice
- Oversee the producer managing talent, performers, emcees, and speakers, ensuring these relationships are handled with care and precision
- Keep the team informed and inspired by emerging experiential formats, cultural trends, and what is resonating across verticals
Production & Operations
- Oversee full-cycle event production across the team: venue sourcing, vendor contracting, staffing, timeline development, and on-site management
- Direct the team in managing vendors across catering, entertainment, decor, rentals, AV, and production through load-in, execution, and strike
- Guide and review event layouts and floorplans
- Oversee on-site staff and freelance teams, ensuring seamless execution under pressure
- Build and improve the systems, workflows, templates, and standards that allow the team to deliver consistently as Analog scales
Measurement & ROI
- Connect every event to client objectives and be able to articulate what success looks like before, during, and after
- Partner with the CEO to deploy Agent Analog, our proprietary SMS-only event concierge and real-time behavioral analytics platform, on applicable events
- Use Agent Analog data and post-event insights to demonstrate ROI, capture real guest behavior, and strengthen client retention
- Develop post-event reporting that tells a story, not just a summary
Financial Management
- Oversee event budgets with fiscal discipline, maximizing experience within client parameters
- Review vendor proposals, when necessary, for cost efficiency and profitability
- Oversee post-event financial closeout, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation in partnership with operations
- Contribute to agency-level process and financial improvements as Analog scales
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead a team of producers, account directors, and coordinators, as well as freelance and contract staff, setting the standard for craft, communication, and client service while actively developing each person's growth
- Delegate effectively across the team and freelance network
- Anticipate challenges before they become problems and solve them calmly when they do
- Model the values, taste, and creative standards that define Analog's reputation
What We're Looking For
- 8 years of experiential marketing and event production experience, with significant agency tenure and cross-vertical exposure
- A portfolio that spans at least two of Analog's core verticals: entertainment, B2B/tech, consumer brand activations, or corporate/professional services
- Deep fluency in the LA vendor, venue, and talent landscape
- Experience serving as a creative executor: someone who can receive a brief, align with a creative lead, and ensure the vision is realized on the ground
- A marketer's understanding of why events exist: to move people, build brands, and deliver measurable impact
- Financial fluency: building budgets, reviewing proposals, and managing margin
- Client-facing confidence: you can run a room, present a concept, hold a relationship, and deliver hard news gracefully
- Comfort operating in a lean, high-trust environment where judgment, communication, and process all matter
- Genuine curiosity about technology and how AI tools are reshaping experiential, and enthusiasm for being part of that shift
- B Corp values and a sustainability mindset that shows up in how you work, not just what you say
Compensation & Structure
Base salary commensurate with experience, with bonus potential tied to agency revenue and event performance. Benefits package and details shared upon advancing in the process.
This role is based in Los Angeles and requires regular onsite event work and travel as needed.
Analog is a place for people who care deeply about their craft and want to build something that lasts.
