This new Outdoor Adventure property is an exciting opportunity to grow your career with us. WildSide is the newest outdoor attraction spanning approximately 900 acres near the majestic Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Our park offers guests an unparalleled outdoor experience with over 7 miles of exhilarating mountain biking trails and UTV offroad tours. We are seeking a UTV Mechanic to work on our fleet of UTVs. This role will be pivotal in ensuring our guests have a memorable and safe adventure experience while visiting the property.
Responsibilities
- Provide preventative maintenance on vehicles on a determined schedule.
- Work on a variety of vehicles including ATVs, UTVs and large, diesel vehicles.
- Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues.
- Communicate with vehicle users to determine their automotive requirements or vehicular defects.
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles.
- Keep an accurate log of all work performed on an electronic platform.
- Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Preferred)
- Solid understanding of different maintenance techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance.
- Knowledge of ATV, UTV, and diesel vehicle mechanics.
- ASE certification preferred.
- 5 years or more of vehicle maintenance experience
- Able to work in all-weather conditions.
- Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays and overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 50 lbs., and occasionally team lift and or move up to 100lbs
- Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, crouch, crawl, and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in/on rough terrain
- Standing for long periods of time
