The Transportation & Parking Assistant Manager plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by overseeing daily transportation and parking operations. This position is responsible for leading a team of drivers and parking staff, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant transport of guests and employees, and maintaining smooth operations at all parking locations.
As one of the first points of contact for guests, this role sets the tone for the overall experience by promoting a welcoming, organized, and safety-focused environment.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Leadership & Team Management

Supervise, coach, and support transportation drivers and parking staff

Assist with hiring processes, including reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and onboarding

Conduct training, cross-training, and ongoing development for all team members

Provide performance feedback, coaching, and complete performance evaluations in a timely manner

Promote a positive, guest-focused culture and ensure staff engagement standards are met

Counsel employees when necessary and maintain accountability for performance and behavior
Transportation Operations

Oversee daily transportation operations, including routing, and queue management
-
Ensure all drivers maintain required certifications (Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement) and comply with all DOT regulations

Verify completion of daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

Coordinate with fleet maintenance to ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and properly maintained
-
Ensure efficient and safe guest loading/unloading procedures

Monitor transportation flow and adjust operations to maintain efficiency during peak periods

Ensure all guests have valid tickets prior to boarding transportation
Parking Operations

Oversee operations of all parking areas, including the Parkway lot
-
Ensure parking staff are knowledgeable of parking policies, procedures, and local parking alternatives

Monitor parking activity, including ticketing, payment kiosks, and enforcement procedures

Coordinate towing services, when necessary, in accordance with policies

Ensure cleanliness and organization of parking areas, including trash removal
-
Train staff regarding parking systems, including ticket machines and pay kiosks
Guest Experience
-
Ensure all team members actively greet, engage, and assist guests
-
Provide accurate information about attractions, wait times, and operational updates

Ensure staff are informed daily of attraction statuses (open/closed) and key park updates

Assist with crowd control and queue management to maintain a smooth guest flow

Support Group Sales with group arrivals and check-in when needed
Safety & Compliance

Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and drug testing requirements

Respond to incidents and assist with completing Incident/Injury Reports
-
Communicate all incidents promptly to leadership and safety personnel
-
Ensure team preparedness for weather-related events and emergency procedures
Administrative & Operational Support

Assist in scheduling to ensure proper staffing levels and timely schedule publication
-
Support departmental budgeting, forecasting, and operational goals
-
Maintain accurate records, logs, and tracking spreadsheets

Ensure all required documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time

Maintain opening and closing procedures and checklists
-
Assist with additional transportation and parking functions as needed

Participation in Anakeesta’s MOD (Manager on Duty) Program
Qualifications:

Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
-
Valid Class B CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement required, or ability to obtain.

Clean 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required

Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards preferred

Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations

Experience in training, coaching, and team development

Proficient in basic computer systems and scheduling tools preferred

Strong commitment to safety and accountability
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 25–75 lbs

Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and work on feet for extended periods

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind)
