We are currently looking for a Deli / Gift Shop Supervisor.
What you will be doing:
Deli / Gift Shop Attendant / Cashier Greets and serves guests, prepares food, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Deli / Gift Shop Supervisor / Cashier
- Maintain cleanliness of Deli and Gift Shop
- Ensures that guests’ needs are fulfilled, and their experience is as pleasurable as possible.
- Make food items/ service guests
- Control of all inventory & stock
- Order inventory
- Log inventory
- Unload, tag and display inventory
- Ensure sufficient working utensils and stock before, during and after service hours
- Have basic understanding of sanitation and food safety guidelines
- Work independently and in a team setting
- Communicate any guest dissatisfaction or discrepancies
- Follow cash handling procedures as outlined by property guidelines
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS for Deli / Gift Shop Supervisor / Cashier:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
- Adhere to all requests/directions made by guest(s) and or Manager
- Adhere to service standards as established by the franchise, hotel and company
- Attend training classes as scheduled by hotel
- Greet guests upon arrival, thank guests upon departure and invite them to return
- Maintain uniforms issued by hotel in good shape
- Practice good personal hygiene as per rules and regulations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
One year experience in a customer service industry preferred.
One year of experience in related field preferred.
Must obtain any government required licenses or certificates, for example, California Food Handlers.
CPR/First Aid preferred but not required.
The hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must always be projected.
