About the Job:
The Housekeeper is responsible for keeping a clean and healthy client care environment by maintaining assigned areas in a clean, safe, sanitary and orderly manner. Advises supervisor on environmental services equipment needs and repairs. Ensures that infectious waste and confidential disposal contractors perform as scheduled.Roles and Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
As a Housekeeping/Environmental Services team member, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of our facility. Your day may include:
Daily Facility Cleaning
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and general tidying
Cleaning bathrooms, patient rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
Washing walls, windows, ceilings, woodwork, and fixtures
Patient Room Turnover
Washing bed frames, brushing mattresses, and remaking beds after discharge
Ensuring rooms are fully sanitized and ready for the next client
Floor & Surface Care
Using buffers, scrubbers, sweepers, and carpet equipment
Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors with safety in mind
Cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstery, and draperies
Linen & Laundry Duties
Operating commercial washers and dryers
Collecting, transporting, and laundering linens
Maintaining infection control standards and proper handling of soiled linens
Trash Removal & Safety
Emptying wastebaskets and transporting trash to disposal areas
Using appropriate disinfecting processes and universal precautions
Keeping cleaning carts, closets, and storage areas stocked and orderly
Event & Facility Support
Preparing rooms for meetings and special events
Arranging furniture and simple décor for facility functions
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, clinical, or commercial environments (preferred)
Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English
CPR, first aid, and de-escalation training may be required – we provide training upon hire!
